Do we put car parts in the dish washer to wash?

car parts My dad just put a car part on the top and one on the bottom. will it mess up the dish washer or will it not. I’m just curious. I will tell y’all later if it works or not ok.

    It is likely to dent the hell out of the interior and leave oily scum as well.
    This could result in Dad have a very unhappy missus, until he buys her a new one.

    This is not a good thing to do… They use a special auto parts tub with solvents to clean automotive equipment. It will do bad things to your dishwasher… think about it… grease on your hands… how much of the black grease will come off if you just run soap water over it… no matter how hot… it doesn’t all come off…

    No problem.
    Hot water and dishwasher soap cuts bout near everything.
    If the dishwasher is halfway working properly,
    there’s no telling exactly what was previously washed once it’s been removed.

    Been there, done that…
